# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The brown sugar syrup creates this deep caramel note that regular sugar just cant match
  • Shaking the drink makes it frothy without needing any fancy equipment
  • You can make the syrup ahead and keep it in the fridge for instant latte mornings
02 -
  • Hot espresso melts ice too fast, so let your coffee cool for just 30 seconds before shaking
  • The syrup must be completely cool or it will melt your ice and dilute everything
  • Oat milk brands vary wildly in consistency, so you might need slightly more or less shaking time
03 -
  • Use a strainer when pouring to keep ice shards out of your final glass
  • Baristas pull double shots for iced drinks since the ice mellows the flavor
  • Quality oat milk makes a huge difference, so test a few brands to find your favorite
