# What You'll Need:

→ Crispy Chicken

01 - 2 large chicken breasts, cut into strips
02 - 1 cup buttermilk
03 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
04 - 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
05 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
07 - 1 teaspoon salt
08 - ½ teaspoon black pepper
09 - Vegetable oil for frying

→ Hot Honey

10 - ⅓ cup honey
11 - 1½ tablespoons hot sauce
12 - ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes

→ Caesar Salad

13 - 4 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
14 - ½ cup Caesar dressing
15 - ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
16 - ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
17 - 1 cup croutons

→ Assembly

18 - 4 large flour tortillas, 10-inch

# Directions:

01 - Place chicken strips in a bowl and submerge in buttermilk. Allow to marinate for at least 15 minutes at room temperature.
02 - In a shallow dish, whisk together flour, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until evenly combined.
03 - Remove each chicken strip from buttermilk and dredge thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure full coverage. Shake off excess coating.
04 - Heat ½ inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Working in batches, fry chicken strips for 4 to 5 minutes per side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F. Transfer to paper towels to drain.
05 - Combine honey, hot sauce, and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan. Warm over low heat, stirring occasionally, until ingredients are well blended. Remove from heat.
06 - Transfer fried chicken strips to a large bowl and pour hot honey sauce over top. Toss until all pieces are evenly coated.
07 - In a large bowl, combine romaine lettuce, Caesar dressing, Parmesan cheese, and cherry tomatoes. Toss until vegetables are thoroughly coated. Fold in croutons just before assembly.
08 - Heat tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for 30 seconds per side, or microwave wrapped in a damp paper towel for 1 minute, until pliable.
09 - Place one tortilla on a clean work surface. Layer approximately 1 cup Caesar salad mixture in the center. Top with hot honey chicken strips. Fold in both sides and roll tightly away from you.
10 - Using a sharp knife, slice each wrap diagonally in half. Arrange on a serving plate and serve immediately while hot honey chicken remains warm.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The crispy chicken stays crunchy even wrapped up with all those creamy Caesar components
  • That sweet heat from the hot honey creates layers of flavor you just cannot get from regular buffalo sauce
  • Everything comes together in about 40 minutes but tastes like something from a restaurant
02 -
  • Do not skip warming the tortillas, I have torn so many wraps trying to fold cold tortillas
  • Let the chicken drain on paper towels before tossing in the hot honey, otherwise the sauce slides right off
  • Work in batches when frying, overcrowding the pan drops the oil temperature and you end up with soggy chicken
03 -
  • Double the hot honey recipe and keep it in the fridge, it is amazing on pizza and roasted vegetables too
  • If you do not have buttermilk, regular milk with a tablespoon of vinegar works in a pinch
