04 - 1 sheet (approx. 8.8 oz) ready-rolled all-butter puff pastry, thawed if frozen

→ Spices & Seasoning

05 - 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
06 - 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
07 - 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
08 - 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
09 - 1/4 teaspoon salt

# Directions:

01 - Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
02 - In a mixing bowl, mix grated cheddar, Parmesan, smoked paprika, oregano, black pepper, chili flakes if using, and salt.
03 - Unroll puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and evenly sprinkle the cheese and spice mixture over it.
04 - Use a rolling pin to gently press the mixture into the pastry surface so it adheres well.
05 - Cut the pastry into 24 equal squares or rectangles with a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
06 - Place the pieces on the prepared tray, leaving space between each. Brush tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
07 - Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
08 - Transfer to a wire rack and let cool slightly before serving.
